#RESEARCHPRIDE Is Back!
Prospect Research Pride
It’s amazing how fast a year goes – #ResearchPride is back again!
If you’re not familiar with prospect research, it’s the identification and analysis of prospective donors (individuals, companies, and trusts) to learn their potential to give to a nonprofit’s cause. Here at iWave, we also call this important work fundraising intelligence.
Why is Prospect Research Necessary?
There’s never been a better time to educate fellow nonprofit workers and the world in general about prospect research. Unfortunately, misunderstandings abound concerning what prospect research actually involves. Later this month, we’ll look deeper into how prospect research boosts not just a nonprofit’s development wing, but the entire organization itself.
“During prospect research pride month, we come together virtually and in person to celebrate our role in philanthropy and to share the importance of our work with others. We use this time to educate and advocate with eloquence, humor, cake, and creativity.”
– Helen Brown, President of the Helen Brown Group
This month, we organized our first iWave Roundtable. We sat down with dedicated professionals from across North America and ask questions about what it really means to be a researcher. You can now see this feature here.
Why We’re Thankful
Last year, iWave celebrated its 25th anniversary. Prospect Research Online (PRO) wouldn’t be where it is today without its dedicated user base and their tremendous feedback. Because our product depends on a foundation of ideas and suggestions from researchers, we want to say thanks for your input and advice.
We are proud to be a part of a great industry. Our clients show enormous commitment to their work and the causes they support. Many researchers dedicate endless hours to industry advancement by volunteering. In addition, they take every opportunity to collaborate with their peers to share learning and advance their profession. Most of all, we thank you for choosing PRO as your one-stop-shop for prospect research, and we thank you for the meaningful work you do every day.
We encourage you to celebrate prospect research this month with the hashtag #ResearchPride.
