Position Summary:

As a key member of the iWave Product Development team, this position is responsible for facilitating and guiding the team for both our  operational and project Product development deliverables  for our iWave and AI products.  Our products  are evolving constantly and frequent deployments need to be properly organized and executed by the Development team. The Scrum CoachMaster is an integral part of the team. .

What You’ll Do

  • Responsible for the execution and delivery of the approved Product Roadmap and operational product deliverables
  • Facilitate Scrum events such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring effective collaboration and alignment.
  • Manage the Agile development process, ensuring the team follows the process in their day to day activities, utilizing the appropriate tools such as Jira
  • Support Product Management, particularly on grooming and maintaining the product backlog while considering client feedback
  • Provide guidance and coaching to the development team ito encourage self organization and foster continuous improvement
  • Promote team maturity and development, nurturing a pace that is sustainable and conducive to  both the team and organization.
  • Promptly address roadblocks to ensure maximum team productivity and support the team in overcoming obstacles
  • Cultivate a trusting and safe environment where challenges can be discussed openly, collaboration on solutions is encouraged and problems are addressed and resolved swiftly
  • Facilitate open communication,  decision making, and conflict resolution, between team members, product owners, and stakeholders, promoting transparency and trust
  • Monitor team performance and progress towards goals, providing feedback to the team on optimizing delivery.
  • Escalate deviations to plan to Technical Leadership team
  • Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement and work collaboratively with teams to implement changes, driving efficiency and effectiveness.Document progress of the Agile activities for consumption at various levels in the company
  • Assist team with QA processes when needed

What We’re Looking For

  • University degree in a related discipline or a suitable combination of education and experience
  • 3-5 Years Experience in playing the Scrum Coach for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
  • Professional Scrum Master (PSM/CSM/PMI-ACP) or other Scrum Master certifications would be considered an asset
  • Knowledge of other Agile approaches: Scrum, DAD and Kanban as well as User Stories, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Team Velocity etc.
  • Knowledge of Agile Methodology tools such as Jira and expected standard practices for efficient use of the tools
  • Desire for automation and optimization
  • A passion for continuous improvement.
  • Experience working in a cross-functional team environment
  • Great sense of urgency and prioritization
  • Excellent facilitation,  communication, organization and mentoring skills.
