The Pandemic Changed Your Use of Space: Should you Consider a Capital Campaign?

Recorded on: June 15, 2022

This webinar is eligible for 1 CFRE Point.

The way nonprofits deliver services and work to advance their missions has changed over the past two years. The spaces required for all manner of nonprofit efforts have evolved and we likely will never return to our pre-pandemic experience. If you are like many, the space you utilized in 2019 doesn’t work for 2022. You may now offer more remote services and need dedicated, private areas for that effort. Perhaps you provide a public gathering space and recognize a need for greater flexibility. Maybe a hybrid work schedule has altered the need for staff offices. With those thoughts in mind, you might be considering a capital campaign to create a brand-new location or to upgrade your existing infrastructure.

Watch this session to learn the first steps of preparing for that capital campaign and the six vital questions you must answer about your organization and your project as you move forward. Exploring real-world examples of capital campaigns actively launched, managed and completed during the pandemic, the session will prepare you to assess your potential campaign and make your next moves. This pre-planning process will help you gain the knowledge to develop a quantifiable benefit to your project, determine if you need a feasibility study and decide if you need to hire a consultant. Bring along your unique questions for Kevin Wallace and Carlyn Schulzke of CampaignCounsel.org, experts with more than 40 years combined fundraising experience.
