iWave Inducted into Special Olympics Hall of Fame

Special Olympics Festival Gala, June 23, 2015 – iWave Information Systems was Special Olympics logohonored to be inducted into the Special Olympics Hall of Fame at the annual Special Olympics Gala in Charlottetown Tuesday, June 23, 2015.  iWave was inducted into the Hall of Fame for being a long time supporter of the Special Olympics PEI organization.

“For the past 20 years, this corporate partner of the Special Olympics movement has been giving to the Special Olympics Festival in a big, unique way.   From being one of the our first corporate table buyers to being the live auction purchaser of our Special Olympics Festival Toronto Package for more than 15 years, iWave Information Systems has been a true friend of Special Olympics and we are so pleased to have their continued support,” said Gino Reda, MC of the event and host of Tim Hortons’ That’s Hockey.  iWave has also been a sponsor of the Special Olympics draft an athlete program for several years.  This program sponsors an athlete to go the Special Olympics National Games.

The Special Olympics Festival Gala is the premier fundraising event for the organization.  Funds raised support 50 year round programs to over 280 Special Olympic athletes, and gives these athletes the opportunity to participate in 18 official sports, have access to quality sports competitions, and be supported by dedicated, trained coaches and volunteers.
