iWave Supports Parkinson Society Canada in Honour of Walter Gretzky

Parkinson Society Canada logoIn honour of well-known Canadian philanthropist Walter Gretzky, who was recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, iWave Information Systems (iWave) is donating a one year subscription of their flagship service, Prospect Research Online (PRO), to the Parkinson Society Canada. This service will help the Parkinson Society raise more funds in support of Parkinson’s research in Canada. In April, iWave officials attended the International Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Conference in Vancouver, where Wayne Gretzky addressed the conference attendees. During his address, Wayne disclosed that his father had just been diagnosed with Parkinson’s. He spoke about how his father had helped him and the difference he has made in the philanthropic community. In 2007, Walter was named to the Order of Canada for his dedication to helping a myriad of local, provincial, and national charities. About Parkinson Society Canada: The Parkinson Society Canada is the national voice of Canadians living with Parkinson’s and has been providing education, support services, advocacy and funding for research since 1965. A proud tradition of funding Canadian-based research has made Parkinson Society Canada a vital contributor to Parkinson’s research in Canada. About iWave: iWave provides Prospect Research resources to nonprofit organizations in North America and Internationally. iWave’s mission is to help nonprofit organizations efficiently identify, attract and build the relationships and resources vital to the fulfillment of their philanthropic goals. iWave achieves this by bringing together key information resources to empower fundraising initiatives.
