Salesforce Lead
Position Summary:
As iWave’s Salesforce Lead, you will manage our system of record and ensure it runs smoothly. You will dig in and learn how Salesforce is used across departments with multiple software integrations, then design and implement solutions ensuring we leverage our Salesforce instance and all our integrations to their fullest potential. You have an eye on the future of everything possible with Salesforce and will assist in getting iWave to the future state.
Your passion and drive to get in the details and figure things out will serve you well in this position as you will be iWave’s sole resource for Salesforce.
What You’ll Do:
- Responsible for overall design direction, functionality, and scalability of Salesforce, including implementation
- Provide technical expertise and support to department leaders across multiple Salesforce projects and enhancements
- Perform detailed analysis of user requirements and data flow across the entire company; design and implement solutions as a result of this analysis
- Provide end-to-end solution design, including integrations with systems outside the Salesforce ecosystem
- Point of escalation for technical issues
- Establish and implement change control and best practices with regard to system maintenance, configuration, development, testing and data integrity
- Develop and maintain standardized documentation
- Identify areas for improvement
- Prioritize, design, and facilitate successful implementation and adoption of new processes
- Collaborate with departments to drive accountability and standardization for initiatives across systems, processes, and data management
- Apply Salesforce support functionalities, including but not limited to answering Salesforce cases, creating custom objects, fields, workflows, validation rules, approval processes, sharing rules and permission sets as well as creating reports and dashboards to support business needs
- Participate in final acceptance testing, verifying with stakeholders, deploying new functionality to production
- Develop and maintain sandbox environments, and create and test APEX code for automation
- Other related duties, as required
What We’re Looking For:
- Salesforce Administrator certification
- 3+ years of experience developing solutions on Salesforce.com
- In depth knowledge working with automation processes such as flows, workflow rules, validation rules, approval processes, and other functionalities related to CPQ
- Experience integrating Salesforce with other software solutions
- Experience with Release Management, Deployment, Source Control and Sandbox refresh processes
- Proven creativity and problem-solving skills; ability to work around obstacles and solve problems while providing direction to others
- Strong understanding of data structures
- Ability to develop effective relationships with business users, technical staff and executive management; collaborative team leader
- Strong organizational/time management skills; ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong work ethic, hands-on, with a customer service mentality
- Flexible with a demonstrated ability to embrace change
- Must have a private home office setup with an adequate high-speed internet connection
- Ability to travel to head office in Charlottetown, PE when needed
Additional Considerations:
- Additional Salesforce Certifications such as Salesforce CPQ Specialist certification; Salesforce Advanced Administration Certifications and others
- Experience developing programmatic Salesforce customizations using Apex
- Integration experience with Hubspot, Gong, Gainsight, Zoom, Salesloft, and others
