Business Development Representative

We are seeking a Business Development Representative to join our Success Team and help us expand our current customer base.  You’ll be responsible for identifying potential client growth opportunities, engaging with users through various channels, and booking meetings for our Client Success Team.

In this role, you’ll use your excellent communication and organization skills to respond to leads and inquiries, email and call prospects, and educate current users about our products.

The Ideal candidate will have experience in customer service and sales, as well as strong computer proficiency and the ability to work collaboratively with marketing and other internal stakeholders.  Knowledge of Salesforce, Salesloft, and LinkedIn is also a plus.

What You’ll Do:

  • Respond, engage and qualify leads and inquiries from various sources such as CRM, Social Media, Website, Webinars and Trade Shows and more
  • Partner with Client Success and Marketing to execute proactive outbound calls and campaigns related to lapsed customers, accounts with declining revenue, repeat projects, expansion and cross-selling initiatives
  • Conduct effective sales presentations on iWave products and add-ons inline with the unique needs of each customer, as applicable.
  • Hold professionally engaging conversations over the phone and via email
  • Educate current users to expand awareness, identify new opportunities and develop account intelligence
  • Conduct outreach via phone, email, social media to support campaigns and initiatives
  • Create targeted prospects lists and penetrate key accounts verticals
  • Be aware of competitor activities in the region and assess opportunities for business development.
  • Work to revenue targets and KPI’s as set by manager
  • Book appointments for the success team when a lead reaches a qualified stage
  • Ensure successful follow through of sales cycle by maintaining accurate activity and lead qualification in CRM application
  • Ensure customer’s needs are met while following through the sales process
  • Document sales activities and leverage business intelligence

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong PC proficiency (Google Suite, CRM, etc.)
  • Customer service and sales experience
  • Ability to solution sell through value alignment to differentiate iWave offerings from the competition
  • Teamwork with all sales channels and operations
  • Lead Sourcing experience
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent follow up skills (leads, issue resolution, etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal communications
  • Proven track record of building business and hitting sales targets.
  • Other assets include working knowledge of Salesforce, Salesloft, LinkedIn
  • This is an in-office/onsite role at our headquarters in Prince Edward Island
  • Applicants must be located in PEI
