iWave Partners With RelSci
iWave Information Systems, a nonprofit donor research and screening software provider is pleased to announce an enhanced partnership with Relationship Science (“RelSci”). RelSci is a technology platform that enables institutions to harness the power of their relationships to accelerate business and fundraising development. The partnership will bring select components of RelSci relationship data into iWave’s Prospect Research Online (PRO).
This partnership evolved from the fundraising industry establishing a new dedication to relationship management. A few years ago, Apra launched a new platform for professional development called the Body of Knowledge. Some of these domains include Prospect Research, Data Analytics, and Relationship Management. iWave realized that in order to deliver a comprehensive prospect research tool to clients, they would need to add relationship data to PRO. They quickly recognized RelSci as a leader in the relationship management space; the two companies share clients and saw an opportunity to work together to provide valuable relationship data within PRO, while introducing clients who do not currently license the RelSci service to the additional capabilities offered.

iWave clients were also a huge driver behind the decision to partner with RelSci. “We always try to listen to clients and deliver on their feedback/needs,” said Gerry Lawless, President & CEO of iWave. “So, when we surveyed PRO clients in October 2016 to confirm their interest in the addition of relationship data over other potential dataset additions, our decision was quickly made. The result of the survey was a resounding response from clients that relationship data was the clear preference over other datasets.”
For PRO users, the addition of RelSci data means:
- Access to high level information on over 7 million people and companies, 40 percent of which reside internationally
- The ability to view up to 50 connections of the prospect or donor and see how they are connected (i.e. alma mater, occupation, family, boards, etc.)
- A view into the individual’s top relationship sources and types of relationships
If relationship mapping is a function of the development and prospect research departments, organizations will want to check out RelSci.com. PRO will not provide access to RelSci relationship path functionality that illuminates an organization’s connections to influential people and their companies. With a RelSci subscription, organizations also have access to deeper relationship analytics and news alerts that provide insights into the firm’s network.
